10 Trees

When I got off the plane in Sydney, I could confidently rhyme off about 70 of Ontario's roughly 80 native species, plus a handful of exotic specimens. Little did I realize that Australia has over 600 species of Eucalyptus alone, and more than 5 times more ecosystems! Not knowing where to start was incredibly daunting. I've tried to include a wide variety here to help clear up any confusion, and give you a place to start.
1. Corymbia Citriodora

Size
Structure
Fun Facts - Smells like lemon. Surprise, surprise.
Notes - First time I saw this tree I was aghast at the untrained arborists who opted to lions tail such an incredible tree. Turns out that's just how it grows.
2. Eucalyptus Camaldulensis

3. Meleleuca stypheloides
4. Leptospermum laevigatum
5. Eucalyptus regnans
6. Ficus
7. Auraucaria heterophyla
8. Casurina
9. Greveillia robusta
10. Acacia melanoxalin
